An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Scientist to join our multi-disciplinary team within the Assistive Technology Service based at the TORT Centre, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. The post covers both the Wheelchair and Seating Service, and the Electronic Assistive Technology Service with a 50% commitment to each. The individual will work as a member of the team assessing patient needs and subsequently prescribing, designing and modifying equipment required to meet those needs. There will be a commitment to service related R & D and teaching. The post is based at Ninewells Hospital but will involve frequent visits to home environments, schools and a wide range of clinical facilities throughout Tayside.

2 Clinical Scientists (Radiation Imaging Physicist) – Band 7
Due to staff retirement and expansion of the nuclear medicine physics service to cover PET/CT, we have the opportunity to recruit two new clinical scientists. We are looking for two experienced radiation imaging physicists. One post is planned for diagnostic radiology and one will be a joint post in diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine. Physicists who have just completed their STP training would be suitable for appointment at the bottom of the scale.

Radiotherapy Physicist – Band 8B
NHS Grampian is seeking a physicist to take the lead in Dosimetry and Quality Assurance in the Radiotherapy Physics Section. The successful candidate will also participate in a range of other clinical activities required for the support of the Radiotherapy Service. NHS Grampian has close links with the University of Aberdeen and the successful candidate will receive an appropriate honorary University appointment and participate in the support of the University’s MSc programme in Medical Physics.

Senior Physicist (Radiotherapy)

The department has an active brachytherapy facility with Oncentra planning providing support for Elekta HDR brachytherapy unit. Low dose rate I125 brachytherapy seed treatment is well established – going into its third year of operation. The Physics Department is currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated physicist to join the dedicated team to partake in the commissioning work and provide scientific services to a developing department.
